I thought PT cruiser was built on the Neon chassis... FWD base-car chrysler platform...
I didn't think it had truck anything.
Chevy HHR was a Cobalt underneath.
About the only thing close might have been the Chevy SSR... but isn't really useable as a truck, either.

The PT Cruiser was classified as a small truck (technically) so that Chrysler's fleet mpg would be raised to meet CAFE fuel economy regulations I believe. There's clearly nothing truck about it though.

Says passenger car but when it came out it counted toward the fleet mpg as a small truck. I'm not making this up.

If EPA certification says PC, its a PC. That wikipedia refers to a motortrend article. I think someone misunderstood LDV and LDT when they wrote that article. I read the labels on those lot, I test it as a PC since label reads as such. Doing otherwise would put me under penalty of perjury.
